The 2nd Annual Community Engagement Day celebrates the strong bond between the University of Utah and the community that gives it home. Get involved! Connect with your community through a variety of constructive projects and initiatives on April 25, 2013 and take that spirit of selfless service with you throughout the year. Find a full list of the activities here.
Consider attending the Engagement Walk-A-Thon to be held from Noon – 4:00 p.m. on the U campus. With supervisor approval, University employees may choose to take an hour away from the office, donating one hour of their salary to walk for a community cause. Students and other members of the campus community also are encouraged to make a small donation and participate in the walk. This year’s focus is on the new Hartland Partnership Center, which is having its grand opening on April 16, 2013. This center, as part of University Neighborhood Partners, needs many supplies for the youth it serves. All fundraising will go directly to youth initiatives at Hartland. Participants can complete the online registration process by going here.
