Tom Loveridge
Tom Loveridge, who worked with the Univesity’s administration for more than 30 years, passed away unexpectedly on Feb. 6. “Tom was interested in and cared about other people,” says Vice President Loretta Harper, who worked with him for the past 12 years. “He viewed his role as supporter to others so that they could be successful. His contributions to the University of Utah are many and significant, he will be sorely missed by us all.”

I worked with Tom for several years in the ’90s as part of a Park Building networking committee. I was always very impressed with his altruism and general attitude. He was a champion of tolerance and I admired him a great deal.
Over the past few years I’ve only had the opportunity to bump into Tom a few times. Even so, he will be greatly missed!
I had the chance to meet Tom when I was on the Employee Grievance Committee for the hospital about 5 years ago. He was a nice person, he will be missed.
